Vintage Newspaper Fun Finds

As you may remember, I designed retro-looking invitations for our Rehearsal Dinner and lined the envelopes with vintage newsprint. I sell the invitations in my etsy shop, and they have been incredibly popular. So lately, I've been spending lots of time getting my fingers inky going through old newspapers. In my search for perfect envelope liners, I frequently come across some pretty interesting stuff. Some of the things I've seen make me wonder what it would've been like to be a young woman entering adulthood in the early 60's. Some of the things just make me laugh. I plan on sharing the interesting, funny, and weird articles and ads with you. So you'll see for yourself.

Technology or Sticky Notes?

So, I have a "Smartphone" that can do anything. I can get my email, access the internet, read word documents, manage my calendar, etcetera etcetera...
Well, then why is it that to remind myself to get a new book of checks to put into my checkbook, I stick a STICKY NOTE to the back of my phone?

Am I the only one who has the technology literally at my fingertips but doesn't take advantage of it???

One Size Fits MOST???

My sister gave me this really pretty scarf for Christmas and I love it. I love it because it's the prettiest shade of burgundy, and I love it because it made me LAUGH. OUT. LOUD. Well, not the scarf, but the TAG on the scarf. It says ONE SIZE FITS MOST. Most? Really? The scarf is AT LEAST SIX FEET LONG! Honestly, I would not want to see the person this didn't fit. That would be one helluva neck. Wow.

I Deserve a Prize...

...for being the WORST. BLOGGER. EVER.

I am so bad! One of my New Years Resolutions was to be a better blogger. Yes, I realize that was about TWO MONTHS AGO, but what can I say? I got off to a slow start.

But here I am! March isn't too late to start a New Year's resolution, is it?

Shop Locally-- Online!

I just discovered that I was featured on a local blog.... What a nice early Christmas present! The purpose of the blog entry was to encourage shoppers to shop locally online. What a cool concept! They featured a few local Etsy shops run by local artisans. I'm honored!

Your New Boyfriend stocking stuffer!

Maybe it's because I work in a high school. Maybe it's because of my weird sense of humor. Maybe it's because I recenlty attended my high school reunion. But, honestly, whatever the reason, I think these are the funniest things I've ever seen. They are available from etsy seller nowvember. PERFECT stocking stuffer... at least I think they are! Too funny!
